It is their hope that Long Island based aviation companies will schedule an aircraft to pick up food donations from another city (say Baltimore) and fly it to Gabreski Airport (FOK) or MacArthur Airport (ISP) sometime in December. They would like to coordinate several aircraft from different companies to participate. A promotional media event would be scheduled and attended by local elected officials to bring awareness to the growing problem of feeding families in need — especially during the holiday season. Increased awareness will bring additional donations resulting in more food distributed to the growing number of people in need.
